This captivating mixed media artwork layers vibrant hand-drawn botanical illustrations atop a vintage road map of western Montana, centering on the Missoula, Ravalli, and Deer Lodge regions. Two boldly rendered bitterroot flowers in vivid magenta and soft pink dominate the composition, their petals outlined with confident black ink strokes and filled with expressive brushwork. A third bud emerges at lower left, suggesting growth and movement across the cartographic terrain. Handwritten text fragments weave organically between the map's printed place names, adding a narrative, journalistic dimension that speaks to personal memory and place. Originals will vary from the posted image. Also available as a mounted print (not framed).
